Prepare to transform your Financial Statements into XBRL format
The Malaysian Business Reporting System (MBRS) serves as a comprehensive digital filing solution utilizing the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format.
On November 26, 2024, the Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) declared the compulsory rollout of MBRS 2.0 in three phases starting from December 1, 2024.
All companies, including foreign entities registered in Malaysia, are now required to submit their complete financial statements in XBRL format to SSM. This new directive also extends to previously exempted financial institutions overseen by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
MBRS 2.0 is aligned with the most recent Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS), Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standard (MPERS), and the updated stipulations of the Companies Act 2016 (CA 2016), while also incorporating taxonomy modifications for submissions under the Companies Act 1965 (CA 1965).
The MBRS platform facilitates the submission of:
- Annual Returns
- Financial Statements
- Exemptions Applications (EA)
